Bending

The bending machine shown below looks crude but is fully functional and can be modified to suit many production requirements. With 30 tons we are able to bend long lengths of thinner gauge materials and shorter thicker gauge materials.

Images of bend samples are included below to give an indication of the machines capabilities. Thick section can be heated in the forge in order to be bent. Materials with unintentionally hardened surfaces can be heated to prevent cracking during bending.

I affix jigs to the bending machine, in order to ensure repeatability on bends, similar to backstops found on traditional break presses.
